1910s Floral Day Dress | XS

approx. modern size: xsmall, shown on a size 6, but inner net bodice did not close all the way

waist: outer bodice 26", lining is smaller and hits higher on the torso, is about 24" the lining could be extended to be more accommodating, without effecting the original construction of the dress. message me if you'd like some more info about this!

skirt length: 31"

completely charming late teens cotton floral dress, navy blue with pale pink and cream blooms. the bodice with belled 1/2 sleeves and a draped layered effect with fabric covered buttons at the neck, shoulders, and waist, as well as six large buttons anchoring pleats in the back. the skirt front with long apron-style peplum. snaps along the back left to close, see image.

condition: good for age. no major structural flaws noted, and wearable with appropriate care. overall some gentle fade, and in particular some notable fade streaks along the right sleeve and side. buttons all have some evidence of rusting. one button on right shoulder has lost its fabric, and another is very frayed. the notch in the neckline was originally lined with shattered silk, which has been replaced with era-appropriate lace. hem had been taken up by a previous owner, I opted to drop it back down to its original length (or least, closer to original), there is a faint line from the higher hem. I have opted not to wet wash or dry clean this piece, since it has no major soiling, staining, or odors. sold as is, not eligible for returns.
