1940s Magenta Heart Dress | wounded bird

size: petite medium (a good candidate for tailoring down, the bodice could be taken in at side seams and back darts)

unique magenta rayon dress with central heart motif, accented with bow and ruffles. cute side button placket.

condition: sturdy and wearable, freshly laundered. this dress photographs really well, but in real life, has some overall fade and dulling of color. some more notable across shoulders and at underarms. a quarter-sized stain at the peak of the heart did not lift with soaking (it is slightly more visible in real life than photos).  some scattered holes in skirt, with small cluster in the lower front. a splatter of little bleach marks in back bodice, original shoulder pads were cut out by a previous owner. priced with condition and uniqueness of design in mind.
