Edwardian Skirt with Sash | XS
antique c. 1910
est. modern size: xsmall-small
waist: adjustable, 24-27" for best fit
semi-sheer cotton with beautiful textural whitework and cutwork embroidery throughout. gathered at the waist and knee seam for volume and drape, with extra gathering for fullness in the back. converted from a dress, wide modern dusky blue silk sash added, long enough to wrap and tie in the front as shown or let drape in a sumptuous bow down the back. 4 hooks and loops close the back hip area. as of listing time, top is available as a separate purchase.
condition: good. freshly laundered, wearable and sturdy. on inspection there are a number of scattered small holes and repairs, one near the front waist (see image), most lower in the skirt (see images). due to the intricate details and drape of the skirt, these don't stand out, and are forgivable.
